What is Novelu?
A private relationship assistant for iPhone, Mac and Android. You tell what happened, and Novelu remembers birthdays, promises and what you meant to follow up, and reminds you at the right moment.
Is Novelu private?
Yes. Everything you tell is stored encrypted on your device. Before a note leaves your device, names are replaced by codes, and we don't keep your notes on our server. No ads, and we don't sell anything on.
Where is my data processed?
In the EU. The AI runs on Microsoft Azure in Sweden, our server is in the EU, and signing in and statistics go through European services. Only your subscription (account ID and purchases) is kept by RevenueCat in the United States.
Does Novelu use ChatGPT?
No. Novelu uses an AI model from OpenAI, but through Microsoft Azure in the EU, not through ChatGPT. Your notes are not used to train models, and OpenAI doesn't receive them.
What does the AI see of my notes?
The text with names as codes, the date, and of the people you mention only a code and their relation to you. Only your device knows which code belongs to which name.
Does Novelu work without Pro?
Yes. On Free, Novelu reads 25 notes a month, and people, reminders and your encrypted backup are always free. Pro gives you plenty of AI for every day and sync between your devices.
Which devices does Novelu work on?
iPhone, Mac and Android. With Pro you sync between your devices, end-to-end encrypted.
How do I cancel Pro?
In the App Store or Google Play, where you bought it. Pro then runs until the end of the period.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings › Account › Delete account. You can also do it without the app, by email.
Is Novelu a European alternative?
Yes. Novelu is a Dutch product, your data and the AI stay in the EU, and the European privacy law (GDPR) applies to everything we do.
